1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of NUMISTAR at numistar.com, a service of Belza Digital GmbH (see the legal notice). How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.

2. Your content

The coins, pieces, notes and photos you add to your collection remain yours. These terms only grant us what we need to run the service for you (section 4).

3. Photos you upload

Only upload photos that you took yourself or that you are otherwise entitled to use. By uploading a photo, you confirm that you hold the rights needed for it, in particular the copyright or a licence that covers its use on NUMISTAR, and that the photo does not infringe the rights of others. If people can be recognised in a photo, you need their consent.

Catalogue photos from Numista or other websites are usually protected by copyright. Do not upload them unless their owner has allowed it. If a photo is licensed to you on condition that its author is named, add that credit to the photo.

4. Rights you grant us

For each photo you upload, you grant Belza Digital GmbH a non-exclusive, royalty-free right, limited to the purpose of providing NUMISTAR to you, to

store the photo and the copies needed to operate the service, such as backups;
process it technically: crop it to the coin, scale it, create a thumbnail and convert its file format;
show it in your gallery and to everyone who opens a share link you create, together with the credit you entered.

We do not use your photos for any other purpose. The right ends when you delete the photo or your account; remaining backup copies are deleted in the normal course of operation.

5. Who can see your photos

A photo can be opened by anyone who knows its address. Its address does not reveal your account, and we do not publish it ourselves: it becomes visible to others through the share links you create and send. A share link shows the coins it lists, including their photos, to everyone who has the link, until it expires or you revoke it.

6. Reporting and removing content

If you believe that content on NUMISTAR infringes your rights, please write to support@numistar.com. We may block or remove content that infringes the rights of others or is otherwise unlawful.

7. Claims of third parties

If a third party asserts claims against us because a photo you uploaded infringes their rights, you release us from these claims, including the reasonable costs of our legal defence. This does not apply if you are not responsible for the infringement.

8. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for a valid reason: a change in the law or in case law, new features of NUMISTAR that add no obligation for you, technical or security reasons, or a change that is only in your favour.

We will tell you about such a change by email at least six weeks before it takes effect. If you do not object before then, the changed terms apply. We will point this out in the email, together with your right to object. If you object, we may end your use of NUMISTAR with reasonable notice; you can export your collection at any time.

Any other change applies only once you accept it. NUMISTAR will ask you to do so when you open the app.
